  Notes:  The source of information is the Cyprus Ports Authority (Delft Hydraulics) 13th December 1991.

Time used is the Cyprus Winter time which is 2 hours ahead (Plus)  of GMT. If the prediction is for the Summer then a correction must be applied (plus 1 hour = 3 hours ahead of GMT).

No Information on the relation between Mean Sea Level (MSL) and CHART DATUM. (For Cyprus waters Mean Low Water at Springs (MLWS) seems to be adopted for the Chart Datum.  Based on the set of tidal constants, MLWS seems to be approximately  16 centimetres LOWER than the MSL. If a user of the tide tables wants to have a more precise figure he should determine this from the Tide Table: For one calendar year he should for each spring tide take the lowest Low water figure and  then the next Low Water figure. In this way two subsequent Low Waters.  This will yield  26 by  2 =  52  Low Waters. The average of these values is MLWS by definition. This  MLWS  which  is  used  by Admiralty Charts  for Cyprus as the CHART  DATUM, will most probably be between  15  and  17 centimetres BELOW  Mean Sea Level (MSL).
