THE KYRENIA CHRYSOCAVA CULTURAL FOUNDATION
The AVGOUSTIS BROTHERS shipyard (boatyard) in Limassol CYPRUS :
The Kyrenia Chrysocava Cultural Foundation (KCCF) is the legal owner of the KYRENIA SHIP and the Director of the entire project.
KCCF members: Takis Neofytou, Agis Serghiou, Glafkos Cariolou, Petros Vrachas, Michalis Serghiou [USA], Lia Georgiades, George Matheou, Ntinos Orologas, 1 Representative of the Kyrenia Municipality, 1 Representative of the Kyrenia Nautical Club.
The KCCF is operating in cooperation with the KYRENIA NAUTICAL CLUB (Department of Open Sea Navigation) and under the auspices of the Municipality of Kyrenia. The KCCF agreed with the AVGOUSTIS BROTHERS BOATYARD in Limassol to proceed with the building of an exact Replica of the Kyrenia ancient Ship discovered by Andreas Cariolou.in 1965 3/4 of a nautical mile East of the Kyrenia Harbour.[top]

All the Avgoustis are following an excellent tradition of fine boatbuilding famous in Cyprus for the quality and accuracy of workmanship mainly on traditional wood boatbuilding left by their father and previous ancestors.
The AVGOUSTIS BOATYARD is positioned on the beach of Limassol between the Old and the New Port. Coming from the Lefkosia - Limassol - Paphos High-way turn towards the Limassol new Port. When at the traffic lights of the Limassol New Port (heading East) turn left towards Limassol Old Port and Limassol town centre. Driving North-N-E, Turn Right at the SHOHAM OFFICES heading East again. You will pass leaving on your left hand side MARLOWS offshore shipping company and keep driving towards the sea until the end of the asphalted road. Then drive left on the rough road and AVGOUSTIS BOATYARD will be right in front of you
